1. Surface treatment

  • Cleaning: First of all, the steel surface needs to be thoroughly cleaned to remove impurities such as grease, moisture, dirt, oxide, rust, and old coatings. Cleaning is the foundation to ensure the effectiveness of anti-corrosion coatings.
  • Roughness: The ideal sprayed surface should be flat, clean, free of oil and rust, and have a certain roughness to enhance the adhesion of the anti-corrosion coating.

2. Commonly used surface treatment methods

  • Manual treatment: such as scraper, wire brush or grinding wheel, etc., suitable for the treatment of small areas or special parts, but the labor intensity is high and the efficiency is low.
  • Chemical treatment: the use of acid or alkaline solution to remove rust and oxide, suitable for sheet parts, but need to control the time, prevent overcorrosion, and have an impact on the environment.
  • Mechanical treatment method:

       * Shot blasting method: the abrasive is thrown to the steel surface by a high-speed rotating impeller, suitable for automated line       production, but not suitable for large or special-shaped workpieces.

       * Shot blasting method: The use of high pressure air jet abrasive, is currently one of the most used rust removal methods, suitable for a variety of complex structural parts.

3. Rust removal method

  • Chemical method (chemical rust removal) : the metal components immersed in acid solution, through chemical reaction to remove rust, oxide and corrosion products, commonly used acids are hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid and so on.
  • Physical method:

      * Manual rust removal: Use emery cloth, hammer, spatula knife, scraper, wire brush and other tools, suitable for local or installation site           treatment.

      * Power tool rust removal: such as electric sander, pneumatic sander, can remove loose oxide, rust and old paint film, but can not remove    firmly attached substances.
      * Sand blasting: The use of high pressure air to bring out the abrasive spray to the surface of the component, suitable for the treatment of a large number of components in the factory.

      * Shot blasting: The use of centrifugal force to throw abrasive surface cleaning, a high degree of automation, suitable for line production.

High pressure water washing rust removal: through high pressure water jet impact metal surface, remove oxide, old coating, etc., suitable for a variety of materials.

4. Anti-rust treatment

  • Interprocess rust prevention: water-based rust prevention, rust prevention time is short, to meet the requirements of interprocess rust prevention.
  • Process rust prevention: including passivation rust prevention, phosphating rust prevention, dehydration rust prevention oil, etc., according to the process requirements to choose.
  • Final rust prevention: based on oil-based rust prevention, rust prevention time is long, suitable for long-term preservation.

5. Anti-corrosion treatment

  • Long-acting coating protection: suitable for large steel structures, such as steel plants, Bridges, offshore facilities, etc., can extend the service life to 20 to 30 years.
  • Anticorrosive paint coating: After the treatment of the steel surface spray anticorrosive primer, according to the environment to choose the appropriate anticorrosive program, such as atmospheric humidity, industrial pollution, salt and so on.
  • Surface treatment quality inspection: the treated surface should meet the GB8923 standard, and the roughness grade should meet the design requirements.

6. Special treatment

  • Room temperature blackening process: suitable for all kinds of alloy steel, cast iron products, energy saving, easy to operate, black film uniform, deep black.
  • Phosphating treatment: the formation of phosphating film as a coating base, lubricating layer or insulation treatment, suitable for cold extrusion, cold drawing and other industries.

7.environmental protection and safety

• Room temperature blackening agent: no need to heat, energy saving more than 90%, easy to operate, no pollution to the environment, dense and uniform black film.

  • Anti-rust products: such as anti-rust grease, water-based anti-rust agent, dehydration anti-rust oil, etc., according to the needs of choice, to meet the different requirements of anti-rust.

To sum up, there are various anti-corrosion and anti-rust treatment methods on the steel surface, and the appropriate method should be selected according to the specific application environment and requirements to ensure the long-term protection and stable performance of the steel.
