What is ERW Pipe?

ERW = Electric Resistance Welded (specifically, High-Frequency ERW or HF-ERW).

Using hot-rolled steel strip coils as the raw material, the strip is roll-formed into a tubular shape. High-frequency current generates resistance heat at the seam, allowing the edges to be squeezed and fused together. No filler wire is used, and the resulting pipe features a single longitudinal weld seam; it is the most widely used type of welded pipe on the market.
