Core Manufacturing Process
Refers to hollow structural steel sections with equal side lengths (square tubes) produced via cold-forming followed by high-frequency resistance welding (ERW/HFW); this distinguishes them from seamless square hollow sections (Seamless SHS).
Mainstream manufacturing process:
Hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel strip → Cold-forming into a square shape → Longitudinal high-frequency welding → Weld seam leveling → Cut-to-length → Straightening
Over 90% of square structural tubes on the market are produced using this welding process, and the cost is significantly lower than that of seamless square tubes.
