• Strictly compliant with the AS/NZS 1163:2016 standard for cold-formed hollow sections in Australia and New Zealand, this material is certified for use across Australian construction, municipal, and engineering machinery projects. It comes with an original manufacturer's MTC (Mill Test Certificate) referencing specific heat numbers and supports full third-party inspection (SGS/BV), ensuring zero risk of rejection during project approval-making it the preferred grade for high-strength square hollow sections in the region.

• "C" denotes cold-formed; "450" ​​indicates a minimum yield strength of 450 MPa; "L0" signifies compliance with Charpy impact toughness requirements at 0°C (≥27J). This ensures resistance to brittle fracture in low-temperature conditions and stable impact performance at welded joints-advantages absent in standard C450 grades, which lack impact specifications, resulting in a significant safety disparity.

Balanced Mechanical Properties & Chemical Composition

Yield strength ≥450 MPa, tensile strength ≥500 MPa, and elongation at break of 10%–16%; Carbon Equivalent Value (CEV) ≤0.43, featuring a low-carbon, low-sulfur, and low-phosphorus formulation. It strikes an optimal balance between ultra-high strength and essential ductility, avoiding common issues associated with high-strength steels-such as excessive hardness, difficult machinability, and cracking tendencies.

Strict Dimensional Accuracy Control

Side length tolerance of ±1%, wall thickness tolerance of ±10% (with ±5% achievable for high-precision orders), and squareness of 90°±1°. End faces are flat and free of distortion, while weld seams are smooth and burr-free; this allows for immediate welding, drilling, and assembly without secondary grinding, thereby reducing labor costs for fabricators.

Forming Process
