Details
ERW water well casing pipe is electric resistance welded carbon steel pipe used to line a drilled water well borehole. It keeps the hole from collapsing, seals off unwanted surface water and unstable formations, and provides a stable conduit through which the pump, screen, and drop pipe are installed. The casing is formed from steel coil that is roll-shaped into a tube and welded along a single longitudinal seam by electric resistance welding, then normalized to relieve stress at the weld zone before final sizing.
