1. Definition difference
Welded steel pipes are made by bending the steel strip (or steel plate) before welding, with visible joints on the surface. Galvanized welded pipes are galvanized on the basis of welded steel pipes.
2. Classification differences
Welded steel pipes are divided into arc welded pipes, high-frequency, gas welded pipes, furnace welded pipes, etc. according to the welding method. According to the shape of the weld seam, there are two types: straight seam and spiral seam. Galvanized steel pipes can only be divided into cold coated pipes and hot-dip coated pipes.
3. Different uses
Welded steel pipes are commonly used in the mechanical industry, petroleum drilling and extraction industry, water and gas pipelines, etc., while galvanized welded pipes are more suitable for conveying low-pressure liquids.
