  • The manganese content range of Q235B is narrower, while the upper limit of manganese content in A36 and SS400 is higher, which is more beneficial for strength improvement;
  • ST37-2 and S235JR explicitly require killed steel with aluminum deoxidation, whereas Q235B has no mandatory aluminum content requirement.

  • Yield strength: A36 and SS400 are slightly higher than ST37-2/S235JR/Q235B, with slightly stronger load-bearing capacity;
  • Elongation: Q235B, ST37-2, and S235JR have better plasticity, with superior cold bending and stamping forming performance;
  • Impact energy: ASTM A36 and JIS SS400 do not have mandatory requirements for impact energy at normal temperature, making them unsuitable for low-temperature or impact-resistant applications.

  • Yield strength ≥235 MPa, tensile strength 340-470 MPa, fully suitable for general conditions at low pressure, normal temperature, and non-corrosive environments, without the need to choose more expensive high-strength steel pipes.

 

  • It can easily perform cold bending, flaring, reducing, and stamping, and can be processed into various shaped pipes (such as square and rectangular tubes, oval tubes), meeting diverse structural design requirements.

 

  • The corrosion resistance of ST37 steel pipes is average, but simple anti-corrosion treatments such as galvanizing, painting, or plastic spraying can meet the outdoor usage requirements for 5-10 years.
